If you are searching for a fun and meaningful way to get involved in the UNT community, while making a difference in the lives of your peers, the Learning Center is where you belong! The Learning Center was created to supplement and support academic excellence and life-long learning. In support of our mission, we house programs that facilitate peer to peer academic support, while providing leadership and skill building opportunities to UNT Students.

Which student leadership position is best for you? 

Volunteer Tutor

Supplemental Instruction Leader

Peer Academic Leader

- Provides academic support through one-on-one tutoring

- Serves in as many course as qualified and must have a cumulative 3.0 or above GPA

- Time commitment is flexible, ranging from 1 hour weekly minimum to more as able

-Volunteer Tutor Application

- Provides academic support through facilitating group learning

-Serves in one or two specific courses

-Time commitment is consistent, ranging from 8 to 10 hours weekly

-Supplemental Instruction Leader Application

- Provides academic support through one-on-one academic coaching and individual and group tutoring

-Serves in a dual role, tutors in as many courses as qualified, conducts academic coaching in a variety of topics

-Time commitment is consistent, 8 hours per week

-Peer Academic Leader Application
